We broke another prejudice in small communities and girls with hijab are now part of our team. In the next period, they will participate in regular football trainings and other sports and cultural acitivities that we organize for our user group. All for free, because inclusion is our second name.
After a long time, we are active again in the field of ecology and nature protection. As part of the ecological project “Youth and Ecology”, we conducted the first activity – a creative ecological workshop. In the coming period, with the support of Schüler Helfen Leben, our task is to improve environmental awareness in our municipality.
Through the sports – educational workshop, our girls learned the importance of anti – discrimination, tolerance and the creation of equal opportunities in society. The workshop was held in cooperation with Football Together initiative.
We received new sports equipment from the German Embassy. Head of the Department for Public Relations, Culture and Protocol of the German Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina Lea Thurm visited us during regular training and enjoyed the football actions of our team. As a sign of gratitude and in memory of her volleyball career, we gave her a beach volleyball ball.
By playing football in NOVA ŽENA and participation in cultural and sports events that we organize, Roma girls are greatly enriched their social life, but their daily life struggles did not disappear.
